As I have said before Mrsdrron is not adverse to camping as long as there are 5 stars overhead.So accommadation in Luang prabang was always going to be a problem.reading extensively we surmised this was the hotel for Luang Prabang.When we had it booked for november 2008 it was ~ $US250 a night.Unfortunately for 2009 it was now $US400 a night though the rate included a free dinner,free cooking school and a couple of other extras.
The service began at arrival at LPQ.The rep for La Residence was at the baggage hall-all other hotel reps were outside the terminal.The setting of the hotel is fantastic-view from pool and restaurant-
Although we are in the cheapest room type believe it or not,the room is excellent and as soon as I enter i know my brownie point account just got bonus points.From flowers on the bed-
To the fruit and a bottle of champagne-
Well you should know what champagne looks like.The bedroom was large with its own lounge-
TV and desk-
The bathroom was large-
Run out of picture space so continued after dinner.
