I have a substantial LAN itinerary to and around Sth America starting next week; its been booked for about 4 months and during that time I've learnt a lot about LAN, including their notorious schedule changes. A couple of these have worked for me, a couple against. Plenty of fat in the schedule, so no biggie.
At 1am last night, I got two calls from LAN - fortunately my phone was on silent and they went to voice mail.
First recorded voice call said 'press 2 to take this call' - then with no response, it hung up.
A minute later, it called back, and the call progressed. Saying that my flight on sector X had changed time; please press 1 to find out more ... , then with no response, hung up.
I checked the flight on-line this morning and there was no change. I wonder if they were just catching up for the change on this sector that occurred about 2 months ago, and if I'm going to get overnight calls now for all the other changes that have occurred to date!
