I am flying to SCL on the new QF service in Prem Y in a couple of weeks, but then have a 6 hour layover in SCL before connecting to my LAN flight.

Does anyone know if LAN allow pax to purchase a visitor's pass to access their lounge in SCL? Like most airlines, the answer is probably no but on the odd chance that they do, how much does this cost and where could I find out more information?

Thanks

Depends f you are connecting domestically.
The LAN domestic terminal doesn't have a FF lounge for J or status travellers.
It does however have a Salon VIP (downstairs after security) that allows paid access. It's nothing flash, but better than hanging out in the concourse which is very basic.
The lounge has decent free wi-fi, some computer terminals, passable wine and spirits and a few nibbles (sandwiches, nuts etc).
I've used it a few times and it doesn't seem to get too busy.

I don't know about international as I have access to the posh LAN lounge as a WP1. That said, I think there is a Salon VIP just as you turn right after coming through duty free after customs.

When we last transitted SCL Intl in 2008 there was no paid access to the LAN lounge. Or any other we could find.

We had a look at the Salon lounge in the Dom terminal when flying domestically and it didnt seem worth the cost (maybe they've imporved it since then) - particularly for an early AM flight with a very quiet terminal.

I would seriously consider taking a 25 minute cab ride into the city. Go for a walk around the Barrio Bellavista area, have a bite glass of wine in one of the many retaurants and bars and cab it back out to the airport. Much, much better than sitting in a mediocre lounge for hours. It would also help you cope with the time difference.

Flying back to Sydney next month in J on QF - as a WP do you think I will get posh LAN lounge access ?(I am on a LAN ticket)
Thanks

You should do. It's a one world lounge (opposite gate 20) as discussed in another thread.
