Just sitting in VA lounge in BNE, just checked there are no public land line phones but on asking there is one on one of the reception counters that customers are able to use on request, my brother called me this morning as he has used the BNE QF Business lounge 3 times in the last four days and this time (Sat AM) there were NO LANDLINES in the lounge, but 48 hours ago there was ONE ( which was available next to one the the PC's) (wonder if they remove it under the cover of darkness)
He questioned staff about this and was told that most people have a mobile these days, he replied that most people have a shower at home also?
Seems it musr be a cost cutting measure to conciously remove land line phones from lounges, but I have not been into the QF club in BNE to see what is happening there?
Any other similar experiences around the country?
