Large release of Qantas Business & Economy reward seats to London & Rome [Oct '23]

What’s apparent from some cursory searching

PER-FCO or LHR gone early June
Return late August gone
In the middle still some availability but ever decreasing holiday length
At 216000 per person return to Rome and co-payment of $883

Some of the LHR-PER run at co-payment of $875 alone (the luxury PAX tax)

Just closed it and reopened again, and then I got through ok.

But... the even better news, and though I hadn't seen it mentioned, I tested out SYD<>HNL on QF103/104 and managed to snare return business reward seats for my family of 3 pax during the NSW April school holidays next year! That's seriously unheard of before today! Amazing, in fact!!! Now to find some accommodation that won't offset my $20,000 airfare savings.......... :D

Cheers,
Matt.

Well that’s cheered up my Monday, J PER to LHR July 26, J FCO to PER Aug 25….time to start planning, seat selection was limited…but as lowly Bronze, back of the plane sort of traveller…not complaining. Good luck to anyone else searching :)

Nothing for me in July. 3 seats in J, mind you.

I haven't checked expert flyer to see if P1 could open-up seats.

Will stick with the SQ bookings I guess.

Hmmm, only just noticed that this release had happened. Just had a look as a WP for the dates I need for travel between MEL and LHR and can't see any J or F. Oh well. I guess i'll have to go in the upgrade lottery if J prices don't come back to pre-COVID levels.

As just a WP, I doubt I'd be able to get seats manually released for that time of year.

good onya buddy!
What don't you understand? I'm simply stating that there were seats available, and also that you are waiting for a 'points' ticket, which is what people have purchased, which was exactly what you were quoting.
Don't know if you're expecting a non-payable taxes component? You can use point + pay for that then, at a greatly inflated rate.

understand it all.... :) enjoy your day buddy.

Husband just did a points only one. We did have a significant amount of points. With the half price points it was very good to spend lol
Few random reward flights were there

I would have needed return to make it worthwhile. I checked too late. Plenty of points for multiple return trips, but hard to use them.
