Earl of sandwich has awesome wraps and salads ~$10
Located inside planet hollywood hotel and casino- across from bellagio.
Theres also a relatively famous hot dog place in there, though id never heard of it, it was always full of people and relatively cheap!
Outside of caesars theres a nice dessert place too. Very popular. Inexpensive
If they want to see a show, theres a ticket sales place on the strip, not far from the hard rock cafe under a big coke a cola bottle/ sign
They can get cheap show tickets on the day- usually half price, but they should get in early

Cosmopolitan hotel has Marquee day and night club. They can buy day and night combo passes. Great fun.
Most hotels also have their own day pool parties.

Planet hollywood had dj's all day. Relaxing by the pool with a cold drink might be their idea of fun!

the forum at Ceasears a must see you would think you were in the roman times, also at the same location, the Cheesecake Factory, massive meals and great quality, their salads are great, really one main will do two and we are big eaters. Also serendipity out the front of Ceasears was another great place we ate at. Also at Ceasears I think it's called central cafe, we ate ad brunch there about $16 for ranch breakfast, that would see us through to dinner. Don't forget the tips usually around 15% -20% on top of all bills. We also ate at an Italian restaurant at the front of one of the shopping malls, in the main strip I think it was called Maggios. We also ate at the Carnegie deli inside Mirage, sandwiches not to be missed.

Plenty to see in the main strip itself, treasure island show at night, bellagio fountain, Venetian with the gondolas. Yes as previously indicated the touts are out in force at night, and plenty of beggars as well, you become immune by the end if your stay. The young ones will have a great time. Remember to tae their licence as legal drinking age is 21. Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock should be on their list to visit. Hope they have a great time. Remember in the casinos when you are gambling all drinks free, we were enjoying coughtails galore, and they were not holding back on the alcohol, but remember to tip the waitress and they will keep coming back to serve you, this from a two coughtail maximum girl. I don't gamble much but for $20 outlay on the pokies we got coughtails times so thought that good value. Also yes a must see is a cirque de soliel show we saw O unbelievable worth the price of the ticket.

I got kicked out of Bellagio last year as i used my Aus Licence when i sat down to gamble, but got checked an hour later and management would only accept a passport for foreigners (back in my room in a different hotel a long way away). Lesson learnt.

I stayed in Vegas during the height of the GFC. Our booking included a bottle of wine, sparkling or spirits per night (they weren't flash). My AU licence was sufficient to collect them, but on the casino floor only my passport was accepted.

Ot: it felt strange being asked for ID at 29yrs!

I got asked for mine in SFO and I'm in my 40's - almost fell off my chair and spluttered my drink everywhere. When I asked, well it was just a requirement from the establishment, rather than looking anywhere near 21.

I have have heard it referred to as being 'carded' and some states legislate that all customers purchasing liquor must show photo ID - no matter what age they appear.

I just found it humorous that my Aus Drivers Licence has never been questioned anywhere else in the US, but Nevada had an issue with it.

We found the Mob Museum @ 300 Earl Stewart Ave downtown Vegas in the Original Courthouse to be well worth a look - Mob Museum | Mob Museum
As previously mentioned a chopper flight to the Grand Canyon is hard to beat if your budget allows for it. We had a fantastic trip with Maverick
Younger people may like to take on the rides on the top of Stratosphere preferably before enjoying a nice dinner in the revolving restaurant. The Freemont street experience is also good..

The tower at the top of the Stratosphere has nice views of everything.

Here's my tips from someone young as well.

- Play low-bet coughs or other slow games and get $1 (tip) top shelf drinks. Ask them to pour into plastic cup when leaving as you can walk around everywhere and into places with open grog.
- Possible to get $1 beers on main strip. Most of the bottle shops and bars are expensive, so just scab free ones from the casino floor.

- Would recommend Moon nightclub at the top of the Palms... Level 51 open air balcony and is set back from the strip.
- The pool bar at Wynn is pretty smick but expensive.
- The new club at MGM I believe has recently opened.

- CityCenter seems to be the best place for young people. Lots of older people and families in Vegas when I was there..

Also, remember Vegas isn't quite as 24 hour as it makes out. Clubs shut at 3/4 and the tables quieten down. I'd liken it to having 10 crowns on the same street.

I never had any issues in Las Vegas with one of the old laminated QLD licences. The thing is not even laminated straight.
