Hi there

I really need some help with last minute holiday ideas as a birthday gift for my mum .......
I am hoping to take my frail 75 yo mum somewhere warm for 7-10 days. She's not the big touring type.
I had hoped to take her on a cruise to the pacific or the like but these look pretty much booked out.
Dates flexible bw. Aug. 14 th to aug. 29 th. She needs to be back in adelaide by 29/8/12 for medical treatment.
I live in melbourne, she lives in adelaide. I am currently in alice springs flat out with work contract until aug. 13 th.
She's not keen being on a plane flying more than 4-5 hrs.
Help any ideas please??????

Cheers, miclyn111

Are you sure on cruises? pocruises.com.au seems willing to sell me cruises on the 14th(ex SYD) or 18th(ex BNE)

From Adelaide flying more than 4-5 hrs plus warm = Bali or Darwin or Cairns.

Thamks for the ideas, keep them coming.
Thanks ScottWebb for website, unfortunately dates don't match ours.
A few indoor cabins left on p+o brisbane exit-I'm thinking claustrophobic without window-is that the case?
Esp if mum feels unwell and spends a considerable time in bed in room?

If you can afford a cabin that is not inside, then yes, they are small and not much fun. They also often sleep 4 (families) so there's bunk beds, giving even less space.
