So I'm booked J on QF28 which grants access to the LATAM lounge. Check in for QF28 opens at 10:30 for a 13:30 departure.

Issue is that I am planning to arrive on an overnight flight from Lima getting in at around 4am. Is there any way to get to the lounge to rest before checking in to the Qantas flight?

Or if I was booked CUZ-LIM-SCL-SYD-MEL (using oneworld award) could they check the whole way through?

9hrs is a long time to be spending in the mediocre LATAM lounge. I'd check if day rates are available at the Holiday Inn.

I hope is OK to pose a Q in this thread?

Arriving in J on QF27 but onward flt to LIM in Y on LA642 - MEl-SYD-SCA-LIM all on same PNR booked through QF - 5hr transit in SCA - will arr in J permit lounge access for transit?

It should - via the oneworld class of service connecting flights rule (assuming LA is still oneworld at the time you travel).

Don't get too excited about the LATAM lounge in SCL - it looks nice but there is no decent food. Only sandwiches.

Here are some photos from yesterday. There is ice cream and other snacks as well. The lounge is not well signposted but if you find Ruby Tuesday look behind it and you get the lift up to the 4th floor (one floor up)

When we went in we turned to the left but as I was leaving I got lost and ended up on the other side and not sure if that's a different lounge or an extension but it looked nicer
