Latest AA Bonus Miles Offer (ends Dec31)

So I emailed AA customer service about this, and then called their "Aadvantage account services" department as directed from the e-mail. After being on hold for a total of about 40 minutes, basically, there was a glitch that caused the miles not to post and they have no idea when it'll get resolved. So why put "miles will be posted by Jan 31st" in the first place?

On top of this, the CSR I spoke with put me on hold and transferred me to the supervisor line when he told me he was going to ask about it and get back to me. Really uninspiring stuff.

AA is the way to do the connection between Los Angeles and London to complete the round the world travel. BA in first using AA points was the missing link at 62,500 points.

There's been a ton of mixed reports on BA F A380 service since they are served by the mixed crews, apart from some peculiar stock shortfalls.

Personally, I'd be shooting for a bit of J action myself, via JFK/LCY ;) then maybe the new AA A321T to make the coastal connection.

The AA 77W new F looks pretty decent. At least I'd take it over UA F.

It remains my dream to land/take off from London City (LCY) as we can go on the District Light Rail (DLR) in about 10 minutes.

Nor mine but I have no special need for them just yet.

Unfortunately I am hanging out for these ones... had timed it exactly to use these points for a family trip mid year... down to only one day of availability left for the period of travel we need - argh!

Suggest you put the award on hold then - With AA you can place an award on hold for 5 days and then chase up the points.

Dale.

Last time I put a QF flight on hold it cancelled long before the advertised hold date/time.

I thought the more correct response should be, "About bl**dy <expletive> time!!!"

Well... yes... it was a bit of a drawn out process! I am pleased though to report mine also processed, and once again tip my hat to the forum. As soon as I noticed the points in I jumped to purchase my tickets I'd been eying off. I got all the way to the payment screen and couldn't get my credit card to process payment - argh. Thanks to the comments here I spotted and used the 'hold' option to save my booking. Then after phoning AA I realised I needed to delete my postcode which had pre-filled in the payment screen - only works for US payments I'm told. All in all for me though, all's well that ends well! Cheers
