Latest information about 28 degrees card

No, but forfeiture of another cards points earn is significant!
At a card earn rate of (just say) 1½ points per $ that's up to $15 worth of points forgone.

However, if foreign spend is $800, then it only up to $3. But the $800 may save $24 at 3% ...

I still have the card - free for next six months or so.

I'm reapplying, after canning this one earlier in the year. I too got the two years no monthly fee offer. Will see how I go. My application seems to get stuck and times out. Will try and retrieve it tomorrow and try again.

I found 28 deg the most difficult customer service - tried to cancel wife’s and mine when introduced the fee - couldn’t cancel one no matter what - so many phone calls and emails

Never mind, got a call back about the application to confirm a few things and I'm all set to go. I asked about the two years $0 monthly fee deal and they said as long as I got that email it'll be fine. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Is there a minimum monthly spend to get the no fee?
My email stated:
Year 1 - monthly fee will be waived as soon as I'm approved for a new card
Year 2 - monthly fee waiver automatically rolls over
Year 3 - if I spent $12,000 (on eligible transactions) in Year 2 I get another year of no monthly fees

I'm not likely to have spent that much in Year 2, as I will only use it as a travel card really, but it'll do for the next two years :)

Well, I think I’m going to give them a call because we who ‘loyally’ 😂 kept the card are still up for the minimum spend to get the fee waived. And I’m not sure that it goes past the first year.

I use it sufficient to get the thousand dollar spend each month. For $10 reward, if you value points at very roughly at a cent a point it’s not bad value, and there’s a very great range of redemption possibilities.

I tried doing the chat thing today. Just got the bot, this is the message I got back:

A credit card fee is generally charged across industry as a fee to maintain your credit card account, for example to process transactions or issue account statements. This monthly fee also ensures that Latitude can continue to offer the features and benefits for your account.

Let me know how you go @RooFlyer I think I may call them as well.
