Earlier this year I hung out at Maccas under the Dl Skyclub tapping into the Wifi before wandering across.:-|

Why and how tap into the wifi?
The WIFI in Terminal 2/3 is free and fast to everyone?
The maccas is upstairs...how did you get password?

Is it only leaving or can you use it coming in to LAX on VA?

None should be required - your boarding pass will indicate potential access. Of course if you are guesting other pax who don't have access, presenting your Velocity card would seem a good idea. I don't believe you have arrivals access unless you are again flying out of LAX on VA/VX/Delta that same day.

Boarding pass and invite you're provided at check-in are all that's required. I've never shown my VA WP card there; just the former two things.

Gee those chocolates and biscuits are good though. The food options are otherwise limited, but I quite enjoyed the salads and the cheese plates - it's just that you need to take about 5 of them! The seating arrangements are woeful - far too limited and those bench/bed type seats just mean some lucky (greedy) person comes along and stretches out on them like a bed rather than letting two other pax share.

I agree the food is very limited, however I found the coughtails to be pretty damn good so that made up for the poor food in my eyes.

Per an email just received, Virgin Australia will move to departing TBIT on 1 Dec 2013.

Eligible guests will have access to the brand new Star Alliance lounge that is run by NZ.

However check-in somewhat weirdly remains at T3.

I suspect it's good news on the lounge front.

I was in T5 - DL don't use T2 or T3 ...

I've been lax (geddit? geddit? ) and not posted about this. The VX girls informed me of this earlier this month when I was in the lounge. Good news indeed (although i'll miss the coughtails in the Loft; the only good thing in there).
