hi there,

I need a decent hotel for a few nights around the LAX / Manhattan Beach area. Manhattan Beach doesn't really seem to feature to heavily on the likes of booking.com

we will have a car also, if that makes any difference.

appreciate people's ideas and thoughts.

cheers

When stuck overnight due to a cancellation, we were put up at the raddison. Decent enough; and there was a nearby shuttle bus to manhattan beach and the airport.

But if you have a car, you can probably go further away and get cheaper.

I stayed at a Marriot that was a few mins close driving distance to Manhattan Beach. It was right next to a small shopping centre with some eateries.

Any airport hotel is fine, according to your budget. If you have a car Manhattan Beach isn't far.

It really does depend on your budget.

I have stayed at Crowne Plaza at Redondo beach, (just a bit closer to LAX than Manhattan). Was very happy, right on the marina, good position. I have always stayed at the CP at LAX when wanting to be at the airport

Hi, as others have said, what's the budget. You pay for convenience in this world.

Hilton at LAX is pretty well priced but if you have a car then head further afield. Don't know what Manhattan Beach is like but it would have to be better than Venice Beach, one of the most revolting places I've been in the USA. And possibly the most overrated.

hi there, budget isn't really an issue. most of the hotels that we have looked at aren't excessive and we aren't looking for a penthouse or anything like that (equally don't want a back packers).

these suggestions are all good so far and have provided plenty of insight.

It's just that Manhattan Beach didn't seem to have a lot of options. Certainly the LAX airport hotels are looking ok. they all seem to fit our budget.

TIA.
