I'm taking QF95 to LAX on Sunday evening then staying at the Staybridge Suites in Torrance for a couple of nights. In the past (about ten or so years ago) I used Supershuttle from the airport to hotels in the U.S., but times change and I was wondering if they are still about the best option?

Do you mean Best? Or do you mean Cheapest? Or Fastest? Or more convenient?

I personally can't stand the thought of being in a bus/shuttle with multiple stops for an hour after a long flight, so Best for me is taxi (or Uber these days)

Supershuttle is still a thing and would be the cheapest option

I'd hire a car.....
On this occasion its not worth hiring a car - I fly QF95 into LAX Sunday night local time at 19:00, two nights in a hotel in Torrance on Sunday and Monday nights while doing training on Monday/Tuesday at an office about 3 minutes walk from the hotel, and then QF94 out of LAX on Tuesday evening back to Melbourne.

I would book a driver service. Comfort and door to door. Unless its the LAX Hilton shuttle, nope - no shuttle.

Not the Hilton, but Staybridge Suites Torrance - very highly rated and very close to the training

Personally, I'd just get a taxi, or an Uber if that's your thing.

Like you, I used SuperShuttle many years ago, so used it again when I was in Washington DC last year. Really bad move - cheap (-ish) but took forever; my time costs too!.

Uber isn't really my thing so taxi it might be.

My sons use Lyft and Uber. We just use a taxi. In Los Angeles they say Lyft is their preference.

I use Higher standards, better rides - ExecuCar all over the states. I am sure there are better/cheaper options out there but after a long flight all I want is someone to meet me as you walk up the ramp from immigration to the exit post and have some one wave a sign with your name on it
