Hi all just a question for anyone in the know I'm looking at doing an over night from LAX to JFK on AA has anyone done it and what are the seats like on the flight?

Thanks for your help

It's flown in a 762. Its called the Flagship service. There's only 10 seats in the cabin. 2-1-2 configuration. They are leather sloping recliners, not fully flat. Entertainment is a Samsung tablet and Bose Headphones. The service and food are excellent, not as good as QF F but significantly better than QF J.
I thoroughly enjoyed my AA F trips this year and would be happy to fly them again.

I agree with the princess - although the red eye is not nearly as nice as the daytime flights. If you can switch I would.

Thanks Fiona, yes I looked at the configuration. it good to get info from somone who has done it, what seat did you select?

Solo?

A little bird told me the "Captain Kirk" seat is the way to go!

Hi wayne, have sat in 2D, 3D and 3H ( with J vacant )
I heard 2D fondly referred to as "The Throne" by the AA crew. I wouldn't be overly enthused at sitting here again. During boarding the business and coach passengers on the H and J seats have to walk across the front of your seat to access the aisle. At times it's quite a struggle to prevent your Mimosa from ending up in your lap
3D is a great solo seat, none of the boarding issues and just as much room. Either of the window pairs would be fine for a couple.
Here's a leg room shot from 3J

Sadly I have a wealth of photos and menus from the TR's that never seem to get written

Great info Fiona thanks, and the photos are good. Dr H (she who must be obeyed), noticed the bag she has the same one, and loves it ,we picked it up in NY. I bet the Ice Cream was low cal :D
