Less than 24hr layover allowed?

Had a good search but wasn't able to find anything on this specific topic - I'm looking at booking a flight home from Hanoi on SQ, and I want to have a night in Singapore on the way home for speedy sightseeing and a real bed. SQ191 and SQ245 are my ideal sectors, and are available on the KrisFlyer booking portal, but I can't see them come up as a combo on the Velocity portal.

I know that stopovers of >24hrs aren't possible with Virgin, but is it possible to book this ~17hr layover either through the portal or the Guest Contact Centre?

Note that SQ award availability differs between KrisFlyer and Velocity. Velocity bookings certainly can have long layovers - they will flag as being long layovers in the results page.

Sorry, I should've specified that the two sectors appear individually on Velocity, but not together. The combo appears on KF.

I believe you could. You might need to call to book it though.

Update for anyone wanting this info:

Well, hold time was around five seconds the three times I called, so that's a plus, but I'm afraid it's no dice. The first two agents were a little confused by my requests but gave me a roundabout answer of no, before the third explicitly said that they can't change the paired sectors from what the system gives them. They said it was what Singapore Airlines gives to them that they can book, and can't chop and change.

Seems odd to me frankly given the combo's available on Singapore's website and the individual sectors are available on Velocity, but I guess it's a quirk of the system.

What if you ask them about the first flight and get them to create a new booking, then ask them if they could add another flight to the booking?

Surely I’d be paying the cost of two separate bookings as opposed to the combined cost if I did that? It’s 105k points vs 78k, for reference.

I meant you go through the process in the same call (both flights added to the same PNR, one at a time), and therefore you'd pay points for the combined, not separate tickets.
