Not sure if this belongs in the BA or QF forum - feel free to move. I have just booked a SYD-SIN-LHR flight with QF points in J and I need to get to SNN. When I try to search for LHR-SNN on the QF website nothing comes up, but when I search on the BA website logged into my Avois account I can see flights to book with points. Unfortunately I don't have any AVOIS left to book with.

If I book a separate LHR-SNN revenue tix I presume I'll be able to get the bookings linked at check in and my bags booked all the way through? Is there an arrivals lounge in LHR that I could access on my J ticket from SYD?

I don’t think BA will check your baggage through if the flights are on separate PNR’s, even with the same airline.
There’s a landslide arrivals lounge at T5

Its an EI flight (BA codeshare) so QF wont tag your bags onwards.

No arrival lounge for QF pax at LHR anymore.

If youre in BA J to LHR, they have an arrivals lounge in T5 you can access

Unless you have BA status you cant access the EI lounge in T2, but you can pay for it i think or the plaza premium lounge

I’m not flying QF…flying BA into LHR (booked with QF points)

But it looks like i am going to have to collect my luggage regardless of how/where i book if BA won’t check the baggage through.

If it's BA to BA then you maybe able to do so at check in....just provide your 2nd PNR immediately. It could depend on the check in agent. My caveat would be for you it's to an EI flight (even if BA number) but it just might work. Ask for sure.
