If I can keep my routine and will time my moves right, I'll be on my way to HEL on the day.I'm a platinum for this. Will likely spend a few days in Helsinki beforehand and do a short hop in for the crawl before (fingers crossed it runs... didn't last time) getting QF2.
At HKG recently, we started about 1pm with people starting to head for gates about 6:30, but some much later. If I can keep my routine and will time my moves right, I'll be on my way to HEL on the day.
Interested and will be at least Gold.
A question: what time do you usually start and when does the party end typically? I.e. is QF1 arrival suitable or too early, and when's a good late time for the respective connection?
A little off topic. At TR on FT where a person visited 14 LHR lounges in 1 day in T3 & T5 on day trip NCL-LHR and into London.TL;DR: Read it anyway!
If you would like to join us you need to book a OneWorld flight that leaves LHR Terminal 3. Not terminal 5. Not terminal 4. So that rules out QR and quite a few BA flights. And even though EK departs from T3, flying with them will only get you access to the EK and QF lounges.
I cannot stress enough that booking the right OneWorld flight is critical. LHR does not allow passengers to move between terminals. You cannot in fact even enter a terminal you are not departing from. You will be safe if you book AA, AY, CX and QF. Do not book MH or QR as they leave from T4. Here is a brief rundown from Head for Points on LHR T3, and contains a list of BA flights that left from there this year (2024). Where can you fly on British Airways from T3 to visit the Qantas and Cathay lounges?<snip>

Now, assuming the passport office adventure eats up about four hours of my time, I’m left with seven hours to twiddle my thumbs at Heathrow. I’ve seen plenty of threads onExpert FlyerFlyer Talk about the possibility of wandering into Terminal 3 to visit the lounges with a Terminal 5 ticket, and I’m game to give it a whirl. This escapade is precisely why I've decided to document this super-short trip report. Stay tuned for the shenanigans!

Lounge 12 of the day, and the tenth in T3 is the Qantas lounge. There are clearly Qantas flight(s) scheduled as the at seat dining is open and in full swing. In fact this is the busiest lounge of the day behind Cathay Pacific.
Just a cappuccino here and then it’s time to play hunt the return route

And back to T5. The lady on T5 transit security just couldn’t get it and repeatedly told me I couldn’t be me and that I made her head hurtHer supervisor just opened the gate and waved me in.
Reappeared In T5 south security so it was the door straight into the Concorde room again where I now sit penning this update with glass of champers awaiting my attention. Two goes until my flight,, 14 lounges down, do I languish here or do I set out to capture the three galleries lounges, no matter how briefly?
You won’t get access to the arrivals lounge at T5 with EDI-LHROK, lounge crawl animals ...who's up for LHR-EDI BA1430 6:15-7:40 from T5 - BA8715 9:40-11:10

Of course, this would mean arriving at the airport around 3am and a rapid scoot around the lounges, but what's that to a dedicated lounge crawler? I think on of the SIN crawls started at KUL?
Thanks for the link. It does look like there is an ability to get to T3 with a T5 BP. But who knows what will change in the next 2 years!A little off topic. At TR on FT where a person visited 14 LHR lounges in 1 day in T3 & T5 on day trip NCL-LHR and into London.

Only if you work out how to get T4 in there as well! Are Brit interlopers invited? I’d love to join you all in a more relaxed safari

Maybe the later, but shorter in the air, JER flight as a B2B would work, and a BA lounge in Jersey to grab a biscuit before the return. Would give much more time in T5 and get you back a little earlier based on current schedules.OK, lounge crawl animals ...who's up for LHR-EDI BA1430 6:15-7:40 from T5 - BA8715 9:40-11:10

T4 might be a stretch There is, however, the Galleries lounge at T5B to add to the list above, 10 minutes walk each way through the tunnelsOnly if you work out how to get T4 in there as well!
Yes, it’s one thing to talk your way through that security door but having a conga line of drunken Aussies in tow could be a challenge, if not funny - well, one of those “it seemed like a good idea at the time” situations.T4 might be a stretch
Is it worth the walk? I’ve never made it past the main terminal! There is, however, the Galleries lounge at T5B to add to the list above, 10 minutes walk each way through the tunnels

IME of attending lounge crawls, priority seems to be given to F lounges and then to the better J lounges e.g. QR SIN, EK and other lounges. As for QF lounges it is also to test to see how much champagne or hidden wines will be provided to the 1 or 2 P1s (BA GGL equivalent) and their 16 travelling companions. As it is a crawl some lounges are just a drop in grab a drink or something to eat to tick it off the list and move on.Ummm… in a conversation planning a lounge invasion of 16 or more lounges, feels like a must do But, it would cost maybe 20 minutes to get there and back so depends on how long a linger time is planned. It is nicer than the Galleries North and South lounges in my opinion, and slightly different to them.
The food in the BA J and F lounges is the same currently, so .... T5B is probably the nicer of the bunch currently. Slightly better drinks in F.IME of attending lounge crawls, priority seems to be given to F lounges and then to the better J lounges e.g. QR SIN, EK and other lounges.
