I've been on the phone with LH today about to book another F fare to Europe via the US on UA/LH. They are telling me that they no longer have that fare and that the new price would be $16.000 instead of $8900 which I paid earlier this year

Has anyone recently booked this fare to Europe? Is it still available somewhere? Looks like now my only option in F for under $10k would be Ethiad...but not 6x *Aliance points for the flight (to my BMI account) :(...

Does anyone know of any other *A option for around $10k to Europe? I actually need to stop in the US, so I guess really only UA/LH or UA/LX will be my option.

What about Air NZ. My understanding is you can go to Europe via the States with them and they are a member of Star?

Harvey World travel have announced a SQ sale on J fares. Prices looked ok.

I'll see if i can find a link.

Here you go:

Singapore Airlines, the world's most awarded airline, is offering incredible Business Class fares to 82 destinations around the world. Final booking and payment date is 28 August 2009. Valid for departures until 31 March 2010. Taxes and surcharges are subject to change due to currency fluctuations.

But that doesn't take you around the world like the Lufty fare. The OP needs a stop in the US. Pity SQ has long pulled its own RTW. :(

You can try the SWISS mini RTWs.

Sorry, QF009, for some reason the three links do not work for me.

I noted the SQ and special LH fares for C right now. But what I'm after is a good F fare which allows a stop in the US (at least on one leg). I might call Swiss directly. I was talking to them anyway because I really didn't want to throw more money at LHs outdated F product. Just a shame that LX still hasn't converted all their flights to new F especially not to LAX.

Do you have something against Air New Zealand?

You could also try Virgin Australia and Virgin Atlantic combo. I saw them offering economy fares to Europe the other day via the States. I think there was a markup on ordinary Europe fares.

Eck, they no longer work for me too. I notice they'd just rejigged their website. Here is the new link to the various RTW fares:
