That's a seriously good find :D
Might have to get onto that one

Hi Fiona,

It's quite bizarre actually. Both myself and Mrs Diddy have 150K each already from purchasing miles in the previous promo period. By my calculations I can xfer 100K to the Mrs which means she'll get 200K for $1500USD and then reverse it back.

The validation doesn't seem to have an issue on the front page and let's you proceed to the payment page. So tempted but also wanted to share some USDM but this is quite a bit of coin to drop :/

Previously when I checked it let me do 49+49...I think there may have been a 1k transfer earlier on this year so that now made sense. However when I looked now it was letting me do 78+78!

I have not shared at all this year so should have the full quota but this is seriously whack!

Hi guys,

Anyone else notice that you can share upto 100,000 (100K + 100K bonus) lifemiles even though the promo only says 50,000? It seems to allow 100,000 but not 101,000.

Yep ,I was about to post when I was distracted by a text from the AMEX fraud department all sorted , managed to get 160k points into one account .

Hey Rallo so was that a 80K + 80K bonus that you put through? Did the points come through straight away?

No I started out with 2000 point purchase and to and fro from each account and went one step too far and over the max bonus but it processed so I used another two accounts and built up their balance and transferred into the one .
I probably have mucked up somewhere though my maths is useless .
Points have posted 160k in the one account .

You were pretty lucky. I thought I would give it a go but it stopped me. I have maxed out our 2 accounts at 50,000 each. I am very happy with that.:)

Actually I just tried again and I was successful this time. I was able to transfer 20,000 points. I now have 74,000 and 70,000 in another account. I started by buying 2,000 points and then transferring the rest during this promo period.... yeahhhhhh

With my three family accounts I was able to do a 50+50, 50+50 and the final one came out at 49+49(?). And I couldn't figure out what was going on... I should have tried something bigger like 78+78! Oh well... I am quite happy with a haul of 149k points in one account and 1k in one of the others.
That plus the points + pay option means we are pretty set for the coming years travel plans :)
Thanks for all the help in this and other threads.

I can confirm the promo is still active today.

I just finished the transfers this morning and I too also received 78 + 78 (149k total including the initial 1000)

cheers

leyy

Completed all my transactions and ended up with 190k in one account with a small co payment , that will allow 4 of us hopefully in J on SQ A380 :p

Looks like they fixed the "issue" as when I checked tonight only 50K+50K was allowed. No matter as I only wanted to do 50K anyway but hope others got an advantage out of it :)

Edit: Sorry should have mentioned that the Mrs and I both did a 50K+50K share and are now sitting on 200K. Hope there are some SYD to YVR seats available for next year ;)

Just a data point, I just transferred some points into my wife's account and the bonus (50k + 50k) still applied. This was at about 7.20am Sydney time so the bonus offer is still active, although I won't leave it that late in the future.

Whilst not as good value as the share promotion USDM had, it is an excellent way to circumvent annual maximum points levels that can be purchased, as we both already had maximised our quota. Now to find flights, I seem to have similar problems to others, in terms of not seeing availability on EUR - SIN - SYD on SQ, however with each leg available individually...

Its not that late, the 15th ends at 4 PM Sydney time.

I think you can safely assume that unless within 14 days of departure, this is not going to change.

Looks like the 50K bonus limit as disappeared again. Just transferred another wad.

So I have 188,000 points in one account, and 0 in the other. Should I keep going??

What if they double the redemption amounts for awards overnight, devaluation is a risk you take?
