Lifetime Gold - now what?

The fact being that if one has the disposable income and/or employment paid for capacity for many paid F trips, that status would be of little interest or benefit imo.. and most likely they would fly so many F products better than QF anyway that it's not a very likely scenario, even if technically correct.

Personally I'd mix and match SQ, EK, EY and AF where possible :)

The idea that someone would have the means to pay out of pocket for F for 20 years, and then suddenly drop back to a lower class to utilise their LTP benefits 😂 Even if they dropped to J, the same travel patterns should get them to WP making the whole exercise redundant.

In fairness Lifetime Platinum is quite achievable on Qantas. It's just 40 trips to Europe in First class booked during a double status credit promotion. For some of us that can be achieved in a decade or two. Plus you have Platinum status all the while you earning Lifetime Platinum status.
Surely, anyone who has the luxury to fly first to europe so frequently would choose to do so on EK.

There is no queue to shower in the sky.

But if you are flying Qantas EMEA (aka Emirates) you'll earn just as many status credits on said flight!

I've never flown Qantas EMEA First so I can't comment either way!
