Linking 2 bookings on Oneworld flights?

The Brains Trust at Qantas cannot tell me this so I call on the expertise here.

I have a QF award booking that I had to cancel a leg from DUB-LHR due to timing. I've bought a cash ticket on BA DUB-LHR.
The QF award now starts from LHR in a J cabin and has incurred a 200 Euro fee per pax. I assume this is the premium cabin penalty applied by LHR?

As we are actually transitting, is it possible to have the 2 bookings somehow linked so we make the 400 Euro go away? (if that also brings in interlining of our bags and less hassle that would be a bonus).

It’s possible to link the bookings but it won’t achieve anything.

No way of reducing the taxes from separate bookings to different airlines.

No automatic way of getting the bags interlined, although you can try asking BA at DUB. Just know the official policy is no and it’s pretty unlikely they’ll comply. But doesn’t hurt.

Thanks. As I thought and was going to bat my eyelids at checkin to see what I'd get.
We're going from BA to AY so I fully expect a SNAFU to occur at some point.
