Little Qantas access to 3rd Party international lounges. (Some at YVR, BKK & HNL)

Qantas has confirmed that eligible customers in Port Moresby now have access to the Air Niugini Paradise Lounge, which I hear is quite nice.

At this point, lounge access is now available at all international ports where Qantas flies except for Dili, where there is no lounge at the airport.

Link now shows "Access to the lounge is currently unavailable."

As a OWE via the QR status match with VA, I was told there's no relationship and did not get an invite. I was given 2 x PNG Kina 30 vouchers to use at a (pretty bad) cafe.

Anyone flown through POM recently?

QF site indicates access to Air Niugini lounge on QF or oneworld flight number, which is as expected.

However, Air Niugini has the following on their site and it DOESN’T specify that access is associated for QFF only on the QF flight.

Lounge Access

I) Access to Air Niugini Jacksons International Paradise Lounge is permitted in the following circumstances for;

  • Air Niugini Executive Club Gold Members when travelling on Air Niugini services only.
  • Air Niugini Business Class customers when travelling on Air Niugini services.
  • Qantas members of Chairman’s Lounge, Platinum & Gold Frequent Flyers, and Qantas Club
  • Qantas premium cabin passengers (First Class and Business Class), Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald members, Emirates iO member, Platinum or Gold Skywards when travelling on Qantas operated
So, would I have access to the lounge when flying PX POM-BNE? It reads that way.

PX and QF are pretty much same cost, and timings for both are fine, but if all else is equal I reckon I’ll choose the PX 767 for something different to yet another QF B737 flight.
