LTIL: Staff that go out of their way to do little things that make a big impression.

Had a brief chat with one of the staff working the front desk here at the Novotel AKL Airport and mentioned I'd been going since 4am and was trying to power through to my next flight at 6am. Cue momentary shock from the hotel staffer. I went back to where I've set up shop here in the lobby, and the next thing I know he's walking over with a fistful of pre-packaged cookies (think like you'd get in the minibar) for me because he thought it might help me to "power through".

Back in "the Day" (OK, a decade and a half ago) @Kiwi_Flyer showed me where it was possible to get some quiet sleep landside on the (now publicly inaccessible) floor above immigration at AKL international.

That's an LTIL!

2 things for me this week.
Emirates First CHC-SYD on Sunday evening was awesome, one of my best flights ever.
Have flown QF first and BA first were ok but not in the same league.
I am now likely QF 4 flights away from Life time gold and Qantas platinum for this membership year.

I was over central AU this morning heading to MEL when I opened my window shade and caught the first glow of an Aussie sunrise. I haven’t seen one of them for a few weeks.
