Long haul flight seats ocupied in an unusual way.

Like ive said very disapointed reccently with Qantas. they seem almost as if they get upset just because im flying codeshare with finnair and there for qanas is upset there for they wont aloud me to even upgrade my economy to the next premium because they say sorry your flights are with finnair. Its almost like sounding like that. Plus the qantas flight from brisbane to singapore was dreadfull just discusting. However nice touch screen with usb connection to recharge the mobile phone but the seats where like cheap as one would think of it. Not very comfortable.

Why would qantas not let me upgrade and things like that? First why did my preview trip qantas didnt aloud me to select seats just ebcause flight center dealt with me. BUT this time online it alouds me to select seats but not aloud to upgrade. oh tho ive never tried upgrade seats anyways but just curiosity. I beleive the qantas flights needs to be more better interior just little dirty just dreadful. And last trip i made i was force to be seated betweent he crying babys in the middle of the plane with no window. HOWEVER i requested well in clear i want window request. Ive never and never end up gotten a window request as i could request window but i end up randomly added in a very tight grip between 2 males beside me. Not sure if its flight center has some tricks about this when booking with them or that qantas is just playing poorly.

This trip that you are doing now will earn you more points - you should then have 45000-50000 by the time you get back to australia. That is enough for a return trip to Perth for example. Or even to Bali.

Unless you fly frequently, or have a credit card that also earns points, it can take a long time to earn enough for a flight.

Let me now correct that for you. I just looked up and i currently have: 34,499 and it says it is: 80 status credit

And it is very slow to gain enoguh points to be satisfied to the next level of cards. Should i keep saving those points regardless i only have that amount yet ? takes years and years to even gain the next level not sure if its worth the wait though. Anyhow its connected with the coles new world yellow card but that is only slow stacking points.

So should i save that and regardless it takes years to earn its better worthwhile at the end or not really ?

Thanks but by all emanst i paid far too much at flight center and this was one adult ticket. This time i do it online same configuration as the last trip but doing online myself for 2 adults and i pay the very same as if i was to flight center which cost me the price of almost like saying 2 adults when i was only one. So i didn't get a good deal with them. Plus the young sweet heart at the flight center was rather rude. I hear many stories about this. its no wonder why any travel agencies you see out there is almost empty.

Yes now i have my flights booked and how i want it. Just very upset with flight center how they dealt with me the wasting time which by all means they quoted me a higher price when.... yet i could do it cheaper online same configuration. Plus the lady at flight center quoted me that to reach to my destination i would have to go around in circles as in amsterdam then paris in order to reach to berlin. When i simply made a easier way to reach to berlin rather then flying over berlin in the first place. Also they quoted me a much higher price when i could find it online cheaper. So unless flight center has tricks and ways to get your money. I rather not trust them too much. Just thought i would point this out.

Plus notice they took far too long for a quote obviously they act as if theyw ant to get me a cheaper flight. When i ddi tall this in minutes cheaper rather then slowly searching. Decent to fly 10am instead of 230am as flight center said fly at 230am then they quoted to reach to berlin you have to go to dubai.. then amsterdam then paris when BERLIN is next to amsterdam in the first place but insit on getting to paris or london. Just rediculous really. Not a a easy plan at all sounds like they have no idea on what they are dealing with. Plus the price was far too expensive and yet they consider themselfs as profesionals and yet cheaper price ?

I did this all online thanks to you guys for the help and in minutes all done and made it simple. Instead of going to the airport at 230am in the mddle of the night and instead of going around flying over the destination im going in circles. I made it simple rather then going around here and there and so on. I didn't like how they gave me a quote and that quote looked messy because it has things like flight out 230am from brisbane. this and that then amsterdam then paris or london in ORDER to reach to berlin... When why bother do that when you can find it a way to reach to berlin raher then flying over it. That's why flight center is failing to do so. It almost makes me feel as if non of the people there are 100% profesionals on a decent trip. They only seem to know how to make a trip that goes around in circles with odd times flights.. Not good combination with flight center.

anyhow since i was glad to book it online i am much higher priority then what flight center has quoted me. To me flight center is a propaganda who only wants to trick you in order to pay them quickly.

Sorry if i sound agressive against flight center but i dont trust them. The so what cheap fares when i bloody paid more then i expected.. Just so wrong.

Thanks to the world wide internet and skyscanner and all that anyone can book a flight cheaper and even better options then having to have a floosie out there at travel agencie do it for you which would take them a day to figuire out. Never will dealt with them unless its urgent.

Bronze (or silver or gold) is different to the points you earn. They are not linked together.

The points you earn will continue to build up every year as long as you keep earning.

For status (your current 80 status credits) - that is measured every year. Each year you need to earn 300 status credits for silver, or 600 for gold. That's a lot of flying. And every year it goes back to zero and you have to start again.

I would probably just focus on building your points, not worry about status (silver or gold).

At the end of your trip this year to Berlin and back, you will have more points, enough to get a free return ticket to Perth or New Zealand.

Well as you stated. I might as well concentrated collecting points regardless. The card i have is a red card its one of those renew cards that goes to every membership in which in fact you can also add in credit cash into it because the card also works and acts like a master debit card specially great for travel. I haven't tried that didnt even had to need such thing. But yes at the moment 80 credits not sure what that suppose to mean. The card is a red colour card. I was hoping at least by now surely they should of given me the next level of cards.

As you stated it seems tho to be on the next level (silver card) means i would need 300 starus credits.. this means i must travel plenty of times in just one year ? I just recently receive poitns form my rpeviews trip which i came bakc in January this year. My trip is this december so that will make out to be 11 months or 12 months from the preview trip ive made the very same trip that im just about to do.

I do get eager to maybe buy something on the qantas website using my points but notice with that amount of points i only have which is 34.499 notice for those points i could only buy freely a plastic bag to put shampoo and so on for travel or a strap for the luggage or a unbrella. But not a coffee machine or a large quality suitecase. So it seems i hardly even getting much points from the past trips ive made. Only recently ive made this overseas trips just recently otherwise its just to sydney and return.

So your saying that if i dont travel within a year that 80 status disapears ? there for how will i ever end up been the second card member ship? i might never because i dont travel more then 1 time a year or every 2 or 3 years time regardless.. To me the points are a must. But it seems poor graded to the amount of points i own.. I do feel like i wish i had much more in order to be on the next level. Unless i could make it a easier faster way to maybe add in points if i was to add in 200 dollars to make more points out of it perhaps ? or it would yet take a long time. Nevermind. I have no idea what your on about there. the short flights do NOT requiered me to urgently willing to go on business class. those are smaller planes no need that. The more concentrating aspect on one should have a quality seat is the long haul flights only singapore to helsinki and the helsinki to HONGKONG. those 2 flgihts are a350-900 brand new or should i call it recent new planes by finnair.

I wonder what is good about them compare to a fleet that is A380 perhaps.

I have seats for all the flights i be on so thanks. I am only on the economy seats. The short flights berlin to roveniemi are no need or super need to be on a upgrade seat as the flight is short and no need for that. The most important is the actual long haul flights. The only thing i have on long haul flight are take the advantage of the (comfort seats) its as good as it is. Plus im very happy that finnair will not charge me 110.00 dollars just to choose comfortseats. Because those seats normally cost that much. But because i paid the middle price tag on finnair i have more freedom to at least select free seats normal seats or comfort seats without paying anything plus it alouds me 2 luggages for free.. I suppose because i paid enough the middle price otherwise. The price after that goes to more focus on buisness class prices deals. The first price tag is called BASIC but that only indicates that you ahve 4 or 8 limited seats to CHOOSE from. And only 1 luggage aloud. While the middle price i paid gives me all that for free. Im very happy

The middle price and the last most expensive price tag are all free refund money back quarrantee.. Once you gain the next tier, you earn points & status credit faster than when in bronze(red card).

Note to yourself, if you want to spend your points, they will go 10,000 miles further in a plane than they will ever go in the Qantas store.

Each year your status credits go back to zero. To get silver, each year you need to fly many flights.

But the points are different, they keep building. You can use your points for free flights. The points you have after your trip to Berlin will be ok for a free flight (return) to New Zealand. So you don't need to buy a bag or coffee machine. Take a free flight to new zealand for a holiday!

I was only showing to people the meaning why the ocupied seats where unusual to be occupied and the very same way back to asia it has the very same seats occupied getting to europe is in a diferent week and the return is on a different week as well. Its why i could not understand what it was and only curiosity felt as if those occupied seats are or where reserve for secret marshal's or specialist doctor's or police officers or some sort.
