Long weekend in the Clare Valley

And that's it folks. A great weekend away and way too short

@support There were a couple of photos I couldn't add because they were too large. I resized them and saved them under a different name but even then when I tried to upload them it kept saying there were too big (all under 2MB) and much smaller than some of the others I had uploaded.

I even rebooted my PC to see if there was something that was in a loop but didn't help

Next time in Clare Valley can you check out Indi restaurant? Supposed to be the best Indian restaurant in Adelaide, and we do have some beauties. it's only open at night and we drive the 45 minutes from Port Broughton but only daytimes.

I’m not seeing much sampling of Riesling despite it (arguably) being the variety most associated with the Clare Valley. Wines by KT is my new favourite Australian winery after stumbling across (and staggering out of) their tasting room on the Main Street of Auburn. The service there was fantastic unlike some lukewarm receptions we got at other Clare cellar doors - like you.

I really enjoyed the Mataro and the Cab Sauv

Some good wines and very pleasant man doing the tastings. I've had lunch there are few times over the years and it's always been excellent.
The very pleasant man could well be Julian the owner. He is actually a cardiologist. Amazingly down to earth, warm and friendly guy. Some of their “epitaph” Shiraz vintage is on par with Rockford basket press imho.

He was the owner - he said he lived in Adelaide but they had a large function that day so had come to help.
