A very broad question but here goes...

Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids - aged 2 + 4) looking for any recommendations on the best use of around 600k Velocity points, travelling from Perth. Happy to book a year in advance for best availability. Thinking Europe, but open to other regions depending on award availability.

Contemplated premium economy with SQ from SIN at 75k points each, but concerned the value isn't there given what I've heard about SQ's premium economy. Although only slightly more points for business, I struggle to find any availability for 4 people through Velocity. Given the kids ages, also not sure business is a great use of points.

Happy to look at economy, but with 4 people the availability with SQ from Perth also seems limited.

Thanks

Would a holiday a bit closer work, on VAi, say, int short haul?
Or snow visit to ZQN,
Or econX from PER - BNE (overnight transit) then BNE to Samoa for a week/few days?
Having a lot of points does look good, but if SQ won't put out a lot of availability, it can be hard to fly with 4.
Also, with the points from cards, without already having status, can be hard to get too.
If you do transfer the points from VFF to KF via their liaison transfer, you loose in the transaction, but within KF, you might find more seats within their own FF program.
Without VFF being in a wider alliance, FF wise, its either SQ or go with QR, or with EY, and these are the only ones going towards Europe.
Edit: by the looks of it, not sure that you know too, because VAd now treats PER and ADL residents as not important, a lot of the planes they use, between the 2 or PER - east coast are the A320/737-700 that do not have a J cabin.
Because of that, if you wanted to go to ZQN, from PER, there be no J as VAd uses the 737-700 PER - BNE.
If you are happy to go Y, there are reward seats, PER - BNE - ZQN, for Sept this year, total use of points 428,000 plus a few $ in taxes.

I did a trip in SQ J to Europe with 2 adults + 2 kids (9 month baby and a four year old) and it was fantastic! Only needed 3 reward seats thankfully because of the infant but I wouldn't stress about it being a good use of points - can't get much better for a family in my opinion when going long-haul.

One thought: it's 104k Velocity points for PER to ports in SE Europe (Rome FCO might be the furthest before the zone kicks up) on both QR and SQ. If you fancied, you could book 3xJ return with your points and stump up for one cash ticket if you can find the availability. Looking around there are lots of places with 2xJ on a heap of dates, not many with 3 though 🤔 (also the cash ticket would be a stack of $$$).

Thank you all for the suggestions (particularly the blender!).

Certainly struggling to find 3x J seats to Europe, let alone 4. It’s been a while since I redeemed points; is awardnexus still a good option for searching availability through Velocity partners?

Probably too that VA is not so important to SQ anymore, so they don't/won't issue out reward seats more in number than prior to the VA1 vol admin.
That was when SQ were part owners.
SQ is saving seats, or maybe too that their capacity is still a bit limited due to covid, ie, the number of planes they fly is still less than prior to covid.
Lots of things have changed VA wise, in 2019/2020.
Best of luck anyway.
