Correct - all tiers reset to zero on the anniversary. So 'extra' SCs above WP requalification can be considered 'wasted' and an incentive to move travel to the competition. However, some may be chasing the extra benefits at 2400 SC (eg. PG).

and some may be chasing P1 @ 3600 :p

3600 SC's can be earned for perhaps $6000!

However, the trick is the 2700 SC's on QF squiggle flights. Without doing specific sums, that alone is probably gunna cost well over $10,000.

Perhaps a judicious a DONE4 with the priority on QF flights and/or burn several hundred thousand QFF points on premium ASA's.

Well having just made WP for the first time and with a couple of weeks until the end of my year I will most probably use DJ for my flights before month's end. The reason: DJ have matched my status (well SG anyway) and it's a good time to "try them out again" to see if they are serious about business travellers. I have had some bad experiences in the past so let's hope they can redeem themselves!
Also with the continuing industrial strife at QF it might be a better option for a bit.

Am never going to make WP1!
