Hi Folks,

as QF Plat I will have my first AA domestic flight with Mrs. Tyrolean and our two kids (9 and 12).
We will fly AA First Class, but that does not give us lounge access.
Do I get access to the lounge in MIA with the kids? Oneworld says one guest only.
Does it make sense to buy a day pass? Or spend the time better in any airport restaurants?

My onward connection with UA and then LH in Business-Class is on a different ticket, so no help for that.

Solution
*O rules are indeed one guest with no special provision for children.

AA's rules for AC members include all family under 18.

Since you would be accessing under *O rules then the former applies.

However, I have seen anecdotes of children being permitted in such cases, I have also seen anecdotes of the opposite.

My suggestion is to try to gain access and if not successful then pleasantly walk away.
I was in the ORD flagship first lounge in December last year with my wife and 2yo- I was only QF gold and they let us all in the first class lounge on economy tickets to Montreal. Staff were great and never questioned my access once. It was up there with the best lounge food I've ever had.

Does OW Emerald get Flagship access when flying AA economy domestic/Canada? eg JFK - YYZ

Old thread I know but currently in the States, Qantas gold, Qantas Club flying domestic first in two class aircraft. Was given Flagship Lounge access in LAX, given in DFW but told that we were not entitled after being sent there by the Admirals Club Lounge lady. Will be returning to DFW soon and later in MIA. Can anybody tell me whether we are entitled to Flagship Lounge access or just Admirals Club?

QF gold definitely gets you into Flagship.

Thanks Blackcat20, I don’t suppose you could direct me to something official? I’ve tried and can’t find anything. If you can’t put your finger on it easily don’t worry, I’ll just give it a go again.

Disregard I found it, I just wasn’t reading it properly. Thanks for your help. See below for anybody else who may want to know.
