I'm a QP member and will be arriving at POM from CNS on QF191 the transferring to PX188. Does anyone know if I will have access to the Air Niugini lounge ? Their web site is a bit vague and says I can use the international lounge but I will be on a domestic flight.

QP members dont have access to a PX lounge full stop AFAIK.

No access to domestic lounge but you are not missing out on anything! You will however have access to the international PX lounge when you depart if on a QF flight number.

I thing you will find that has changed as POM no longer appears on the list.

Maybe it has changed as there is nothing about it on the QF website? I can confirm that SG/WP members have international lounge access (but not domestic).

There is a general policy that paying QC members do not have lounge access at airports served only by codeshare flights; this would include POM.

Problem with that is POM is not code share only.

Internationally I believe yo yo ma is correct. It's another one of the not properly published lounges (Cairns international is another). Domestically at POM it's another matter.

Tip at POM domestic: For food and drinks, walk over to international and go to the cafe/restaurant upstairs there. It's 100 times better than what's on offer in the domestic terminal (but still not great).

Not sure what you mean by Cairns International not properly published, One World entitlements are different to QP which is what in play here, in that context Cairns has no International Lounge and I am pretty sure POM does not either, both have previously featured on the QP page as has NAN.

Pineapple Skip posted back in 2010 its a no go in theory but ask etc etc:

I flew QantasLink CNS to POM and had access at Cairns International. There is a large QanatsLink sign at the entrance. The lounge attendant said it was a CX and QantasLink lounge. But where is it mentioned on the Qantas website? Was December 2010.

I get the feeling it's changed at both CNS and POM, maybe they decided the ad hoc arrangements were not viable, it will be interesting to hear what he situation is in 2012, although in the case of CNS, not much is being lost.

Yes perhaps. But I flew back in 2011 so let's not date it too much! (it's about a year ago) And at the time neither CNS or POM lounges were published by Qantas as having any access for CNS-POM or POM-CNS or POM-BNE or POM-SYD. (But you got it!)

I can confirm this is still the case - I flew this on Wednesday and had access to the Reef Lounge at CNS international.

Did you get access at POM, and would that be expected for QP versus WP/SG, there seems to be a gap!

Thanks for the tip, do you know if they accept either A$ or US$ or will I have to change money to buy a coffee in the cafe ?

Absolutely correct. I flew this a few weeks back and yes you have access to the Reef Lounge.
