Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Just confirming: SG travelling QF Intl Y can use Qantas Club (at the domestic terminal) with a guest travelling on JQ Dom on the same day right?

Hi. If I am Velocity Platinum and book a United Airlines flight US to Gold Coast and the last leg is a Qantas flight (Melbourne to Gold Coast), will I be able to access a lounge in Melbourne?

No access to the Qantas lounges in MEL if you've booked through Velocity. Also no pay per use lounges in the Domestic Terminals in MEL, AFAIK.

I am booking United through the United website with Velocity Platinum. Not booking through Velocity or Virgin.

If the MEL>BNE flight is a QF Flight number, then Velocity Platinum offers no lounge access. I just did a dummy booking from LAX>MEL>OOL and the Qantas flights all had QF flight numbers.

I doubt a UA number would make a difference. But a QF J BP would gain access to the QF J lounge.

Better to book VA (if available) - if lounge access is required.

The Rex lounge! (which is allegedly still operating?) if part of priority pass.

It’s a decent enough lounge *if* you had a long layover.

Hoping someone can help, as a VA gold what Qatar access will I have at the following airports? Qatar website isn't showing any results when I search. All are QR flight numbers though the flight leaving Madrid is a code share
  • Perth
  • Doha
  • Madrid
  • Paris
Thanks!

I think the QR lounge page is down currently.
Off the top of my head you should get access to the Air NZ lounge in PER, the Gold lounge in DOH and the QR lounge at CDG.
Not sure if t you will get access at MAD but I’m guessing someone will know the answer

I don’t think QR has a frequent flyer lounge at CDG just the Premium lounge which is for J/F pax only.
No lounge access at Madrid unless you have OW status or J/F pax.

That would be my assumption also but you’d think they would have passes to somewhere in CDG T1 for their own elites flying down the back?

In MAD it’s the IB “Velazquez” lounge in the satellite terminal. QR (and other OW elites) get in no issue. I’d be surprised if they’ve made arrangements for VA elites - but happy to be corrected? I just flew out of AMS and they welcomed VA FFs (so maybe they did offer something there?). They issued a lounge pass to the Aspire Lounge (#41) but we went to the new OW Lounge (#40) right next door.

Seeking some advice please. Currently Velocity Gold and Aeroplan 50K- will this allow me to guest 2 into SQ lounge? TIA

I'm after some clarification on the following scenario. P2 is flying F on BA SYD-SIN whilst I'm in J on the same flight. Am I correct in assuming I can be granted access to QF First lounge as P2 guest.

Correct. First class passengers may invite one guest to join them.

As @MEL_Traveller said, yes you can. If you are continuing on to LHR in J and they in in BA F they can also guest you into the QF F Lounge and the BA Concorde Bar.

And both of them can access the QR lounge no guest access required which is arguably the pick of all the lounges at SIN

Hi everyone,

I'm a virgin platinum flyer from domestic travel, and am now doing some international travel on Virgin partner, Singapore Airlines. I am used to platinum with Qantas, and the experiences at Qantas First lounges.

Tomorrow I'm flying Mel-Sin on an SQ flight (instead of Qantas now!) What Singapore lounges do I have access to as a Velocity platinum flyer, and what's the protocol ... just show Virgin Platinum card in the app? I'm flying premium economy.

Thanks,
Greg

You get access to the Business Section SilverKris lounge at Melbourne (and any port other than SIN where a SilverKris lounge exists before a SQ operated flight).

At SIN, you have access to the *Gold lounges in T3 and T2, NOT the SilverKris lounges.
