Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Hi there,

I have economy flights booked departing Perth, London Heathrow and Singapore with Singapore Airlines.

I have velocity gold status (flights are linked with my velocity account) which I understand grants me + 1 guest access to the standard krisflyer lounges.

I'm travelling with my partner and the mother in law has now decided to join us for the entire trip - is there any way I can get her access to the lounges as well? Should I expect any flexibility or the ability to pay for a pass for an additional person? Neither my partner or MIL have any relevant status.

Business class reward seats China Airlines via via Qantas
Lounge access ?
Sadly by then I will be gold not platinum in Oneworld, though I am thinking that is going to be pretty irrelevant.

Incheon
Thanks

I don’t think you will get two guests. You can ask but be prepared to leave one of them outside if you do want to go to the lounge.
AFAIK SQ does not offer paid access to any of their lounges.

I am flying a VA international flight from Melbourne to Denpasar and are VFF Platinum. The flight is a VA booked ticket.

I was under the assumption I could access the Singapore International lounge in Melbourne on the way out, but my wife things not (and the website is a bit inconclusive). Should there be a problem? My plan was for 1 guest plus two children.

No idea about the kids but you’ll defo have access to the Silverkris lounge in MEL and Krisflyer Gold lounge in SIN with 1 guest.

International lounge access | Virgin Australia You can always try however the +1 guest includes children. So unless you get a sympathetic lounge person then I am afraid no-go.....

Where's everyone getting this conclusion from? I'm under the assumption that VA Platinum on a VA international flight MEL-DPS currently has no lounge access, based on the website info.

SQ lounge access is only before SQ-operated flights MEL-SIN.

Correct, there are no international lounge arrangements for VA metal flights.

You'll have access to the VA Dom lounge in MEL but I realise that's not ideal or necessarily appealing.

My brain was thinking they were on SIN metal........

Sorry I completely misread it as flying MEL-DPS on SQ (via SIN). Correct that there is no lounge access except if OP is inclined to go the DOM lounge in MEL I suppose.

Flying Emirates business out of Hong Kong as a QFF platinum. Can I access the Qantas Hong Kong Lounge? I can't find anything concrete on it but fairly certain I should be given its within the partnership zones covered.
