Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Can I access the Flagship Lounge when flying business class from Dallas to Mexico City? I'm guessing no because I don't believe that the service between DFW and MEX is called marketed as Flagship.

The Oneworld lounge access rules state that Mexico City is exempt, but does that only mean access to the Admirals Club?

Otherwise I will just use the Centurion lounge at DFW (even though I have Admirals Club access courtesy of Qantas Club membership through Points Club Plus).Screenshot 2025-01-09 at 5.03.11 pm.png

Thanks for your guidance.

Thanks for your guidance.
You will get access to any of the Admirals clubs at DFW via your QF Club membership. No access to Flagship unless you have OWS or above.

Admirals Club will be available via class of travel, QF club membership not required.

The flagship destinations are specified on the Flagship lounge page, no access to any destination in the Americas apart from a few domestic routes and long haul flights to the five southernmost South American countries. Even Colombia / Peru do not qualify.

The Mexico City caveat in oneworld rules is antiquated, AA used to not give lounge access to short haul international flights (Canada, Mexico, Caribbean etc) except if flying to Mexico City. You wouldn’t get Flagship access but you’d get Admirals Club access. They’ve now expanded it to any international destination, so whether you’re flying to MEX or CUN you get AC access based on your business class ticket.

Even AA OWE members flying to MEX don’t get access to the flagship lounge.
