Mrs Strongarm has a long lay-over in DPS. She's arriving in DPS on AirAsia from BKK and will depart DPS on VA for PER. If I upgrade her to VA fare to J will she have access to a lounge in Denpasar Airport?

If not, is there a lounge whereby she can pay a fee to enter, she's got 7 hours in the Airport, just trying to find her something a little more comfortable, she's currently got no status.

Thanks for your help.

There are many lounges at DPS where entry can be had for approx. $15 which includes alcohol and snacks.

Thanks for that.

Can lounge access be pre-[purchased i.e. can I purchase lounge access on-line for the Mrs prior to her travels?

Not really, however as she goes through emigration at DPS there will be staff there holding up signs for the lounges. Alternatively she can go to any of the 3 pay in lounges (Prada, Dewa and Something?) and pay her 150000rp to get in.

What is the Premier Lounge like in DPS? I'm taking VA to Bali soon-ish and as a Plat I understand I'll have access here. Is it any good?

Yes Virgin use the the premier lounge at DPS. Passengers travelling in J will get access as well as those with Virgin Velocity gold or platinum. Is quite a good little lounge by Indonesian standards. Although wifi is charged.

Although she may had trouble checking in early. When I was there a few months ago Virgin didn't open their check in until exactly 3 hours before departure. So would not be able to get airside to use the lounge. Even if they had staff checking in other flights they didn't want to check in other flights until 3 hours before. I don't think it would be possible to transit between Air Asia and Virgin.

If you have a choice, I'd steer clear of the Prada lounge if you can. It's incredibly small and has always been overcrowded every time I've been in.

Thanks for the advice.

Another question, I will soon be travelling to Bali from Perth (via Singapore) with Singapore Airlines. I am Gold Velocity, am I able to access the Singapore Lounges in Perth, Singapore & Denpasar, if so, how many guests can I take in as Gold?

The Mrs will only have carry on luggage, will she be able to progress through to air-side and check in at the Lounge? Alternatively, can she check in on-line prior to arrival and progress through to air-side?

On arrivals there is a transit desk situated to the right just before you get to the visa on arrivals and immigration desks. I can recall a single desk with a few airline logos. Not sure if as a Virgin passenger she would be able to go through there. Worth a try at least. Otherwise she would have to clear immigration.
