Well try and see what happen since I have tried many times...Cathay will say as long as Qantas lounge open you need to go there if the ticket is QF..
This started few yrs ago and early days you can go to Cathay lounge if you are Qantas flier.
Hope some one from one world or Qantas, Cathay answer to this issue.
To me Qantas lounge will get negative vote compared to Cathay lounge that will get 8 on business and 10 on first class.

A simple matter of referring to the "OneWorld Lounge Access Rules" should clear any objection from lounge staff - they display an access table at every lounge entry also.

Iam afraid if you are flying Qantas on bus. Or first, Cathay always ask you to use Qantas lounge... Cathay lounges are much better than cheap Qantas lounges.
They may try to stop you but in essence cannot stop you from using their lounges.

I have been using the CX lounges recently flying MH business and I do not hand over the invitation (if I have one) when entering the CX first lounges. Boarding pass is enough.

They have Macbooks not iMacs?.
Hmmm. No idea. They must be Mac something or other. I don't pay attention as I have no interest in Apple products.

I've personally never had an issue accessing any of the CX lounges in HKG on a non-CX OneWorld carrier.

can't answer for business class... but for first class I have always been welcomed at the CX F lounge on a QF ticket. I would say CX is happy to make some money off qf :)

I've been on QF flights from HKG nine times across all classes in the past year and never had a problem using the CX F lounge.

Re serfty's post (and not that it is worthwhile doing) but would a QF Gold or QF Biz pax have access to the Travellers Lounge.
I would have thought this fell into the third party lounge category.

Obviously the CX lounges the way to go in hkg.

I went to CX F Wing yesterday and have been three times on QF flights in the last two months. I always just hand over the QF boarding pass and was never challenged.
