I will travel to USA in june and i am SG and will reach SP there.
I will fly with domestic flights on AA and i want to know if it's possible to visit the Admiral's lounge of AA with Sapphire or Emerald OW status ?

Yes. There's no separation of international and domestic passengers in United States airports anyway in departure halls.

On my last trip to US as WP when there was a "flagship" (AA 1st class lounge) I got access when travelling domestic economy. Also a greeting from flight CM and free food and accessories. I had to ask on one occasion when they went to charge but they had no problem.

As long as it shows OWE on yur boarding pass no probs, just take a copy of you FF status as a back up.

Is access to the flagship lounge and/or free food/drink dependent on your travel being part of an international ticket? Is there any difference if there is an international somewhere on some part of your ticket. Somehow I thought it made a difference?

No it does not matter whether or not the flights are part of an international ticket. OWE ( other than AA Exp) get access to the AC and/or Flagship Lounge (if available) when flying AA domestic

This is the exception to the rule. OW Emerald have no entitlement to free f&b on board AA flights (and the 50 or so AA flights I've taken being WP I've never had any special recognition or welcome aboard).

Flagship lounges are also only in LAX, ORD and JFK. The MIA one was closed.

So as a QF Platinum, I can use any AA Lounge anytime traveling AA even on discount, and get free food & drinks? Better than I thought.

Funny that, the only AA flight in Y I've taken as a WP had the CSM welcome me and refer to me specifically as "an executive platinum member" and said I could have a complimentary meal and "coughtail drink" item from the menu.

Yes. There is the potential issue of having to be on an onward AA flight that I'm not sure about as I haven't tried it myself (ie may not be able to use it as an arrivals lounge).

Can be used as an arrivals lounge, eg Flagship Lounge in T4 @ LAX

Not in the one world T&C's for lounge access but not an issue if departing QF/BA/etc from TBIT.

From my experience...

1. Cant get in as plat if turned overseas due to lag from AA to QF. If check in for multiple legs, my status stays the same e.g. ruby at begining of run, and the last boarding pass still says ruby even tho i am Emerald.
2. Can get into Miami permium lounge. Its actually pretty good IMHO.
3. Was told domestic first cant get into lounge. So lucky had QP to start with.
4. got greetings but prob coz was traveling in first
5. Normal admiral lounge, whats free is variable. Just try your luck. Also number of drinks voucher is also variable.
6. Still jett lagged.

This is relevant if flying say QF J or F (without SG/WP status).

As a WP you can access AA lounges before any eligible flight.

Without status you can access the lounges if connecting to/from international F/J flights within 24 hours (stopovers excluded).
