Im a gold QFF and am flying Jetstar to asia from Perth. I also have someone else flying the same day but on SQ. As I understand from the Qantas website, I can enter the lounge and still be able to guest someone in? It doesn't say that my guest has to be flying JQ/QF. Is that correct?

No, according to the rules you can't bring that guest in. They must be on QF, EK, JQ/3K or a OneWorld carrier. SQ isn't any of those.

Lounge Locations | Australia | Perth International | International Business
Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.
Thanks for the clarification. So I guess I can guest someone in when flying Jetstar, but they have to be flying on the same flight :(

If you 2 are in the domestic terminal at the same time, the SQ passenger can be guested in due to you holding a onward QF BP/Reservation. For International terminal Lounges, the answer is a no.
