I became a Silver Velocity member in June and immediately took advantage of the discounted lounge membership because I knew I had a lot of travel ahead of me this year. By November I'll achieve Gold status. Can anyone please tell me how this will work when it's not quite half way through the lounge membership year that I paid for? Will they for instance start the lounge membership in June?

Pro-rata refund of what you paid for the remainder, just happened with me ;)

My refund was processed within about 48 hours of hitting Gold so it's pretty quick. I was impressed.

Too bad they won't refund one-time passes. Purchased one earlier in the year and after status matching to gold, have been told "its not a product we refund so you'll just have to use it"

Lounge passes can be used to guest in more members than your status level allows. Hence why they don’t refund them and will even start giving them out readily at each 100SC you hit.

Im waiting to see what VA's stance is on refunding lounge membership after a Gold Status Match. It has't been forthcoming, so have dropped an email to see what gives.
Maybe I was best off not getting matched, given by the time it happened I was 20 credits of making it under my own steam :@)
