Lounge Access Zurich - Singapore Business Class/Velocity Gold

Hi all,

I have managed to get an award flight from SIN to ZRH return next April/May and can't seem to find a definitive answer regarding lounge access in Zurich. I don't think my Velocity Gold will help but the J ticket should get me access to a Swiss Business Lounge (A, E or D - I think E as that is where SQ depart from?) - am I correct?

I believe you should have access to the Senator Lounge at Gate E. We flew out of ZRH last month with SQ, albeit in F, and that was the lounge we visited.

Singapore Airlines business class pax without status are only entitled to use business class lounges. That includes the business, not senator, lounges of Lufthansa and Swiss. SQ First class are entitled to use Senator Lounges, which are also star gold lounges (but cannot enter First class lounges owned by Lufthansa or Swiss, unless connecting to LH or LX F same day).

Looking at the velocity gold lounge access page for flying Singapore Airlines, it looks like Velocity Gold only gets access to dedicated Singapore airlines lounges (ie SQ owned and operated). However I'm not across the intricacies of the program to know whether Gold gets you access to Star Gold lounges, hopefulyl someone with more knowledge can confirm.

I flew ZRH-SIN in J (award) on SQ on Thursday just gone. As a VA Gold, only entitled to Swiss Business Lounge (E). Very impressed with the lounge - clean, modern, plenty of space. Good choice of food and beverages (made cook omelette's/eggs for breakfast, other items at lunch, and a freezer full of Mövenpick ice cream

Access to the LX J Lounge was because you were flying SQ J, not because of VA Gold.

I think Blackswan's response was to confirm an earlier replay there were no additional lounge benefits by being VA Gold... ie it didn't get them into the senator lounge.
