Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

You get access to the Business Section SilverKris lounge at Melbourne (and any port other than SIN where a SilverKris lounge exists before a SQ flight).

As SIN, you have access to the *Gold lounges in T3 and T2, NOT the SilverKris lounges.

More here:
Thanks, Serfty, that's great.

I'm used to navigating just Qantas First and this flight I'd see what the Virgin partner lounges of Singapore Airlines are like.

Thanks

The SilverKris lounge in MEL isn't bad - it caters for both Business Class and status holders, so it is appropriate for that level.

But don't hold your breath for the KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN. It's bang average in my opinion. Admittedly it's designed to be like this - it literally exists to keep non-SQ status holders away from their (very good) Business Class SilverKris lounge, which already gets rammed at times from the number of flights operating and the high premium density.

Obviously not for this trip, but if you have a decent layover in SIN, I try and make the sector departing SIN be in Biz wherever possible so that I can access the SilverKris lounge. I only have access to KrisFlyer Gold for an 8 hour layover on the way to the US coming up soon (sadly not up the front for the sector departing SIN), and as a testament to how average I feel the KF Gold Lounge is, I will spend S$200 on a transit hotel for 6 hours and spend it in there instead.

I don't mind the Singapore KF Gold lounge tbh. It's been fine when I have visited. Much better than the equivalent QR lounge in Doha. Now *that* is a transit lounge zoo!

Hi All
I've been reading a lot about Lounge Access and still a bit confused, wondering if someone can help?
First trip this coming November ( economy) BKK to SYD as a QF Club member am I correct in thinking I have access to the lounge in BKK prior to my QF ( Finnair) flight ?
Next trip in March 2025 J class MEL / KUL with MH - can I access QF lounge in MEL prior to departure ?Once in KUL I have a 3 hr transit before continuing on Oman Air ( J Class) to MCT and IST - can I still access MH Lounge in KUL or go to Oman Air designated lounge?
Thankyou in anticipation .Cheers

@DElliott Here is the primary source for lounge access for QF Club: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/qantas...lounges/qantas-lounge-access-eligibility.html

For your first trip, if you are a QF Club member and booked your flight on a QF flight number you may enter.

For your second trip, as a J class passenger on a One World alliance flight you have access to all One World Business Class lounges at any airport so the choice is yours. (There is no QF Club lounge in international. Business lounges are typically better anyway.)

NB: Oman Air is not yet OW but hopefully will be by the time you fly.
