Hi, I am a newbie so please excuse my ignorance. :)

I am going away with my friend who is very stressed out *she fosters kids* I wanted to surprise her with lounge access.

We will be traveling from down South up to Perth so it will be a long day.. will be at the airport for hours..

My question is, is it possible to purchase a one off to the Qantas lounge?

Thanks..
Corinne

It is unfortunately not possible.

That being said, we do have a Lounge Meetups section, and if you post your flight times there, you may match up with another member who is also travelling around the same time and able to guest you two in. Just note, it's a place to post your details and take a chance someone else can help, not to solicit for a free pass ;) that is strictly frowned upon here. Good luck!

You can of course purchase a 30 day American airlines admirals club pass that can be used for entry into Qantas lounges. Search for more information.

It's a Membership, not a pass - one big difference being it conveys guesting rights.

However, it does cost USD99.

From the Lounge Meets thread the OP is flying JQ.
Don't think an AA pass will help at all.

Short of being guested in, I believe the Qantas lounge passes you get with certain credit cards do allow lounge access when flying Jetstar? E.g. the Amex Qantas Premium and ANZ and Westpac Black cards come with 2 lounge passes, provided you buy something from Qantas.

It's an expensive way to visit the lounge, but nonetheless an option...

Quick question......

Does JQ business max get lounge access at the CNS int. lounge? (or even QF dom lounge?)

If you're departing internationally you'll have access to the Reef Lounge.

Thanks eminere. By reading that link, I think I may be OK. I'm not departing internationally, but I am on a business max fare departing on an international flight from the international terminal (but on a dom sector) on a JQ flight number. Time will tell I guess.

Well I can confirm we do indeed get lounge access for the situation described above. The BP does have the LNGE code. The CNS Reef Lounge is pretty ordinary ( in fact I walked in, had a cup of coffee and went back out to Tribs to have something resembling food), but at least I can now say I've been there and done that!

LOL that made me giggle.. well at least you know now.
