lounge/check-in upgrades as OWE on Cathay Dragon?

Hi, I'm considering travelling cheapest economy HKG to KUL as a One World Emerald (Qantas P1)

Does Cathay offer paid upgrades at the lounge (which?) or at check in counter? Or will I just slum it out in Y.

I'm not a member of Cathay Air Miles .... Can always join if it would help.

Also how many hours would you give yourself to check out all the lounges as OWE in HKG?

Not sure about paid upgrades but as *O Emerald you can select almost any available economy seat on CX at no charge.

This includes exit rows and other seating that Qantas would make WP normally pay for.

As for lounges ... how long do you want?

What do you want to do in each lounge? If you spent ~15m in each lounge you can visit all 7 lounges in under 3 hours.

And if you are flying QF there's also the EK lounge to include in the crawl.
