awilcockson - This is when you say in a loud but sturdy voice, "You right there? Why don't you take all of 'em next time matey?", so that EVERYONE around can hear and see what a greedy pig this guy is. 99% of the time they turn bright red and will apologize.
... at wcih point the better move is to go to the service desk and explain your issue....
I found the LAX QP late at night to be something of a nightmare. Was there with the family heading home and there was no way on earth anyone was going to move a bag to let us sit anywhere. Four seats - one person, two bags. It was like that everywhere.
I don't know why people can't say thank you to the bar staff or to the people who take away the plates and glasses - just common courtesy.

In my experience they give you one (or two) chits(s) on entry; after these are used you can go back and get more. From my experience (is the USA anyway) is the reason people seem more civilized is because there's virtually nothing on offer; and you get one drink chit per visit. ...

This topic is one of the main reasons I swapped from being a QF to a Virgin. The Qantas lounge was just like walking in on pigs swilling at a trough. Haven't flown with Qantas for 2+ years now... Loving Virgin.....
I'm not sure that it is an issue confined to the Qantas clubs. Queueing is not a strong point in some parts of Australia (and Melbourne, IME, is particularly bad (OTOH, Melbourne folk are generally very good at keeping left on escalators))
All self service food places really need some sort of supervision. Use the tongs people!!
I agree - generally people overseas are better at manners, using the correct utensils etc. I guess it's a cultural thing.
All comes down to people think they are better than everyone else because they are wearing a suit.
Working in a major business area of Sydney, the lack of manners from those in suits has gotten to the stage where you expect it from anyone in a suit.
Are we finally accepting the inevitable fate that we are a corner of Asia? then we don't need ANY queuing skills whatsoever!
Not sure what you mean especially the second part of your reply. On face value, probably a bit offensive perhaps?
