We are flying J CX Beijing to HK. We have rather a long wait before our J QF flight to Brisbane. We are both QF Gold.

What are the lounge options at HK airport?

I guess we will be able to check all luggage through from Beijing to Brisbane.

Thanks for help with this.

Flying in J you can access any OneWorld J lounge in HKG airport. Do a lounge run and see them all.

I have yet to experience it but The Bridge is supposed to be the best CX lounge for business class. I also like The Cabin. Note that there won't be any calls for QF flights from any CX lounge.

your QF flight will likely be from the teen gate numbers so you may prefer to check out The Wing CX J lounge and then closer to boarding time drop into the QF lounge for your flight to be called (QF lounge is underground and not much to write home about, Wing is much newer and nicer).

if your gate is 1-30 I wouldnt recommend trying The Bridge or The Pier lounges this time as these will involve a long walk back from the outer pier.

If you have ~2 hours to spare and some energy then it should be possible to visit all 5 business lounges and then you can have your own opinion on which is the best lounge in HKG.

Start with the furthest lounge and work your way back to the closest lounge close to departure.

and brilliant CX lounges the are, food and service spot on, let alone the decor.

Borrowing this thread briefly, travelling on JQ from HKG to SIN next month. According to the QF website, the lounge is still the joint QF/BA one and I have access whilst flying on JQ (am SG) - is this the case in practice?

I take it you mean 3K, but yes you will get access as SG.

It can be done in one hour, but then again I'm a fast walker ;)

An interesting thread!

I am flying CX J in April from HKG to PER (departs about 3pm). I have taken this flight a few times but didn't realise one could access multiple lounges. I will be at the airport very early, maybe 5 hours. I have Bronze status with QF.

Could I access all these lounges?
The Bridge
The Cabin
The Wing
The Pier

Have I missed one? Is one better than another? Does anyone have a floor plan so I can plan my route?

from memory flying CX J they give you a lounge pass, so that may preclude lounge hopping (if no OW status)?

Its a OW benefit that J passengers may visit any members lounge on the day their next onward flight is in J with an OW marketed and operated service.

I've never understood why they make you use lounge passes..boarding passes with status and your card should be enough. Lounge passes seem very archaic, in my experience cx lounges in hkg never asked for it but foreign port cx lounges almost demand it (kl)

Probably some sort of account mechanism, and in many cases chargeback, flying EY the SATS Premium Lounge wrote out one for me on the spot, and then filed it!
