Lounge Meets June 2015

I'll give it a go. I'm coming in from LAX on QF16 scheduled arrival 06:40. Not sure how long it'll take me to clear through to domestic. I don't usually come back via BNE. If all goes well I may catch you for say 10-15 min  Otherwise may as well try and catch up again in Melbourne. I might even try to resurrect a Sunday Yum Cha if anyone is interested.

Hmmm 6:40... With the non-existent priority luggage in Australian airports, unless you're HLO there is not much chance but let's be in touch on the day.

A big thank you to one of the fab AFF members who guested me into the HKG Lounge over the weekend- Not mentioning names as not sure they want to be known!

That's why everyone use handles here :)

Sunday 21 June SYD-MEL - VA830 depart SYD 1000. Anyone care to meet up in SYD?

Well managed to catch up with boomy for 40 mins in the domestic JL. It all went quite smoothly in the end. Qantas is re-issuing their Express lane pass and despite boomy's comments my luggage was one of the first out. As a matter of fact my luggage was out early for entire trip.

For anyone who's interested my experience in BNE is as follows:

Despite nearly an hour delay in LAX we landed in BNE right on time at 06:40 (L)

L+30m - cleared immigration (could of been quicker if more than one officer looking after Express lane), collected bag, express lane through customs (NTD), re-checked bag for domestic connection, boarded transfer bus to domestic

L+40m - transfer bus moves off (waited 10m)

L+47m - arrive domestic terminal

L+50m - through security in domestic

L+53m - in Qantas domestic JL

L+55m - found boomy lurking over a lounge computer

Is anyone flying out of MEL on VA Friday 26 June in the afternoon? I will probably get to the airport about 4pm and will be on the 5pm flight to BNE. I'd appreciate being guested into the lounge if anyone is heading that way.

Is anyone flying out of PER T4 this Friday the 26th in the arvo? On the 18:05 to MEL and hoping to be guested as I've run out of comp passes. Cheers

Hmm that could work as I was hoping to work out of the lounge all day. However, is there a restriction on how early before your flight you can go into the lounge? I would check-in online so that wouldn't be a problem but I think I've heard something about not being permitted more than 6 hours before the flight?

Qantas or Virgin?

Qantas doesn't care and you don't even need to be flying to come in as a guest in the domestic lounge.

I'm such a newbie that I'm not able to PM until I have a certain number of posts - are you able to PM me and I'll get right back to you.

Hi All,

just wondering if any VA members we're able to guest my partner and I into them sydney lounge this evening at around 6?

Many thanks

I'd normally be able to help out, but I'm flying QF this week. I'll be in QF J Lounge some time between 4pm and 4:40pm, but that doesn't seem like it would suit you.
