Hello all, and I apologise for asking this question yet again in AFF (but the AFF Google keeps finding posts from 2010 and before).

I'm travelling with Mrs Tork and Little Miss Tork to N America in September. I'll be QF WP before we go.

Travelling LAX-YYZ in domestic J, leaving from T4. I can't interpret which lounge I can go to. Admirals Club, surely, but it appears that I need to be travelling international (and Toronto doesn't count) to get into the Flagship lounge? Is it beyond immigration? Regular OWE LAXers, please help.

Transiting through JFK for 3 hours at T8, on domestic legs, in J and (domestic) F. Again, AC or FL access? And anything else to do for three hours? I've not been through JFK T8 (ex T9?) for years, so any shops? what variety of junk food outlets?

Thanks muchly.

'tork

In T4 you have access to the Flagship lounge. This is located within the Admirals Club, so you check-in downstairs, they give you a ving card. Go up in the elevator and as you face the desks, turn right and then left. You'll see a glass door with a card reader in the wall on the left. Use the Ving card there and in you go. Deposit the card on the counter in the basket on the right.

Access to these lounges are for people on all itineraries if a OW Emerald that is non-AA. AA restrict access to lounges for their own elites but not other OW members.

In T8 JFK you can also use the Flagship lounge. Go up to the lounge, and you'll be escorted into the FL (which is through a glass door to the right of the reception).

There's not a huge amount to do at T8, and there's worse places to spend 3 hours, but the FL is nothing major (except some nice liquor and reasonable food selection).

As Drewbles said, you can get into the Flaghsip lounge as WP at LAX T4. My WP status got me, Mr Katie, and Little Miss 5 in there in April. The Lounge AAngel upstairs mentioned the kid's room in the regular club. I intended to go there (had seen it in 2010 with Little Miss then -3.5), but Mr Katie had too mich fun in the Flagship lounge and I flet like cough from food poisoning the night before and a full day at Disneyland. :-|

The Flagship lounge is smaller and has better (i.e. some!!) food. The Admiral's club does have the devoted kid's room with toys & some computers that only go to sites like Nickelodeon. Depends on you all, and Little Miss as to whether you would stay in the Flagship lounge or also visit the Admiral's club. Flagship lounge only has 3 showers IIRC, though one is an accessible one, so a bit more space if showering with a little one.

What they said ....

As far as T8 at JFK goes, keep your eye on the gate - it can be a 10 minute walk to the far ones ...
