For me, it changed before the switch over - I did have my QFF linked before hand. However, that disappeared shortly after the switch-over.

Just to update this:

After months of stuffing around with their 5t/5k promotion (and getting screwed over and being capped), they had subtracted 4000 points from my account (no notification).

So again I rang and they agreed to do a "points reconciliation" on my account, in particular for the bonus points. I believe the overpay on points was when they gave 2pts/$ instead of the 1.5 the platinum is supposed to pay.


Anyway, letter arrived to say the reconciliation was done and they had re-credited 2000pts. So that seems to be where the 2k points in this thread came about for me. I had forgotten about this until the letter arrived.


So my 2k has nothing to do with loyalty, and frankly, after all the stuffing around with Amex, i really have no loyalty to them anyway. Funnily enough, my other two cards have been used far more in the last five months than in the twelve before that.
