Thanks for the info , I hope this works for flights , not only accommodation
Are Lufthansa the exception or the rule wrt not making is easy to buy flight gift vouchers ?
I had a look and you can only use these vouchers for things that can be booked on the Lufthansa Holidays website, i.e. flight/hotel packages.
I have no idea why Lufthansa don't sell regular vouchers.
Perhaps it would be better to just buy your friend the flight/s they want?
I do notice that airberlin sells gift vouchers: https://www.airberlin.com/en-DE/flightvoucher
I want them to fly to Melbourne , in your experience , which is a better airline to use ?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Berlin to Melbourne , cattle class
Qantas might work , as I think I can buy a voucher with them ?
Won't work unfortunately, as the Qantas vouchers can only be redeemed for flights departing from Australia.
An airberlin voucher could work, but the maximum amount is only 200 Euros.
Perhaps it would be better if you offered just to transfer your friend the money? Things can get a bit complicated when using a voucher.
Thanks for your help
If I went Airberlin , what flights would you recommend , and would that be the best way for them to get there ?
Seems a bit impersonal just transferring cash but maybe that would be the way to go
Or a paypal card perhaps
