I think you can upgrade to business class at online check-in for a fixed price (which is usually reasonable, e.g. around €100 for a short flight).
 
But do note that ‘business’ for LH intra EU means the same Y seats anyway (eurobusiness!). I did it once and wouldn’t bother again.

Additionally, because my *Alliance FF number was in the ticket, it went from a points and status earning Y ticket, but the upgraded ticket went into P class which is non-earning in most parter programs. So I paid for the Y tix, then paid more for the upgrade, but got no points/status. A little annoying.
 
I'd pay 100 EUR on this leg but nothing showing at this stage on MMB. I assume I have to wait until close to departure, perhaps when OLCI opens?
