Luggage Tag Deliveries

Mine are on the multiple hand luggage bags I use and on my rollaboard - none of which have seen the inside of an aircraft since delivery :(

I have however replaced the cables with more rugged luggage tag cables from QF or AA tags...

I put the tags on the checked case, and the roll-on. Wheeled the bag into Domestic Departures the other day at Charlieville, and noticed a young lady looking at my bag, then me. Ah, thought me, she must be a AFF member, could it be karens, or ozbeachbabe ? Nah! she liked my roll-on, and asked for the Brand Name..(Antler)

Cheers Dee

Hmmm, not sure whether I had mine before my trip to ADL and PER last month, but they are off to SYD and ADL on Thursday with me.

Mine are on my carry on and my checked luggage! So if you are at a luggage belt and you see one. Look out for me :)

Out of interest, what if the furtherest from *sigh* SYD centric Australia one of these has been?

New Zealand the other week however, Gove is even further last week - I also sat next to an AFF member who spotted the tags in 3A Darwin to Adelaide :)

Mr!

Distance wise, mine have travelled PER-AKL-WLG-NPE-WHK.... on their way back to AKL via Taupo and Rotorua.

Took mine on Apr 6 SYD-HKG-MNL. Also put them on SWMBO's carry on too.
No bites at all! :(

If you consider the number of registered members on AFF, the number who purchased tags are a very small percentage...

It will happen, but that small percentage multiplied by the number of air travellers and destinations as well as multipliers such as which airlines will and wont be flown by the said AFF members - your odds of actually meeting someone are pretty low...

The only time I have ever "bumped" into an AFF member (except the previous mentioned seating) was Serfty by chance in MEL and we were both on our way to SYD for internationals only a flight or two separating us, so we "bumped" into each other again in SYD as I was heading down the stairs as he was heading up...

A very small percentage indeed...

Mr!

I remember when Skoogle, anat0l, Bundy Bear et. al randomly bumped into straitman+SWMBO as we were entering MEL J Lounge after a JQ run..

No tags in the mail today......sigh:(

Tomorrows hoping

Josh:p

Also put them on SWMBO's carry on too.

I’ve given one to my sister, so if anyone ever runs across her, she’s not a member, but related to one and would probably love lounge access ;)

As you said, as soon as you don’t expect them, they’ll turn up. That’s what’s happened to me on a number of occasions this year :p

 .. and it was even than a chance meeting; I had just left security and heading to the MEL QP when I saw you walk out the door straight toward me (on a mission for your called boarding). (consider the odds with the timing as it's only 30 metres from the WTMD and the QF entry.

A quick G'day and ascertainment of imminent travel and on we met with another mini meet in SYD ~120 minutes later.

Well mine are scheduled for a DONE4 soon so maybe they will be the first to hit 30K miles BIS...

Oh Dear!

In any case, I deferred delivery for mine, but have them now.

This weekend they are going MEL-AKL-CHC-AKL-MEL,MEL-SYD,SYD-MEL. Next month MEL-AKL, AKL-NSN-AKL,AKL-MEL, MEL-ADL-MEL and in June MEL-LAX-//EWR-//-LAX-MEL.

So no, not xONEx level but substantial. :D

Have done two SYD-HKG-SYD runs now with the tag on my luggage. Got a few curious looks from travellers and also cabin crews but no bites on what the tags are for.
It is nice to have an easy to identify tag, that is not a QF status tag :)

Still no tags for me.....sigh:(

Josh:p

A few members at BNE drinks received some tags tonight.
Yes my tag has finally being delivered. If anyone ever sees it on my carry on can you please let me know. ;)

Seriously if I ever see someone with an AFF luggage tag at any airport I will offer them lounge access....
