So I just had a hell of a giggle. Mate who's coming out to SIN with me next week was in the Qantas app and clicked a link to book transport to SIN from the city.

Epic fail, Qantas. Don't ask someone in Singapore to book with Uber. FFS :rolleyes::rolleyes:

IIRC, if you open Uber in Singapore it refers you to Grab, as the business was sold (and that must have been part of the settlement).

In any case QF doesn't have a relationship with Grab, only Uber, so I don't know why they would promote it directly.

Surely better for them to not do anything other than offer to open maps, then?

Fair shout. Won't touch Uber with a barge pole, so no idea!

I'm pretty sure it's just a standard button for every airport.

Like 98% of their destinations use Uber - and in this case it will still direct you to the company you need, so I don't think it's really a big deal. Not really worth keeping track of which rideshare company they want to support for each destination (when really if it's not Uber, they don't care).

To be honest I didn't even know that button existed.

That's fair enough. Esp given the standard of care they have for their own bloody passengers.
